“I am really thankful to the Seawall team for the support, competence and sensitivity offered to my family from the very beginning of our planned dream of living in Canada. After 5 months in Vancouver, I can now say we are carrying out our plan. We are a family of 4 people and my husband is studying English in a Pathway program at Langara College, my daughter is enrolled as a Graphic Design student at the Art Institute of Vancouver and my son is in high-school.

I have no doubts that without Seawall excellent work, none of these achievements would have been possible.
Thank you very much indeed to those I can now call Seawall friends.”

“I came across Seawall through a friend who was hiring their services. The process was very dynamic and efficient. I believe it was the best option, not only because of the affordable price, but also because of the dedication they had in clearing out my questions throughout the whole process. By developing a year-long plan I decided to come to Toronto. I had the excellent support of Seawall during the whole process.”

“My experience in Canada couldn’t have been better. Seawall was with me from the moment I decided to go on an exchange program, helping me to make the important decisions that perfectly fit my profile. At the moment I thought about coming to Canada, I acted like most students: I wanted to go to a big city (Vancouver) with lots of Brazilian people so I could make friends more easily. However, after the first meeting with Seawall, I opened my mind and many new options arised. Chilliwack, the city where I live now for more than a year, was one of the options I had no knowledge about. It is a small city, 1 hour away from Vancouver and where most part of the population is Canadian, which is an advantage in learning English more effectively and as fast as possible.

Another reason I chose Canada is the support the country gives to the sports. The best way to make friends with Canadians or with any other people is through sport teams, which are really diverse here. In my case, American Football and Rugby really helped me to make friends almost immediately. These friends became my friends in and outside the fields and surely contributed to making my experience in Canada a memorable one.
Canadian high-school students’ life is similar to what we see in American movies: personal lockers, lots of events and lots of subjects that are different from the one the educational system offers back home. Gastronomy and carpentry are some of these subjects.

My host Family and I have become very close and as the name suggests, they really are my Family here in Canada.
I am really grateful to Seawall for having supported me every time I needed and mainly for the efforts in providing me the best experience.”

“Success is the sum of 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Thomas Edison’s statement makes a lot of sense to me, not only because of its connection to the experience in Canada, but also because I have personally experienced the feeling trying to make my personal project to come true.

In 2015, I was lucky enough to take an exchange program in Montreal that changed the way I faced life and the world. In fact, after this experience, I underwent a lot of change. From that moment on, I made new choices and started dreaming about an immigration project to Quebec, Canada. After having organized myself emotionally and financially to make this dream come true, I planned a cultural and linguistic immersion in English and French and to establish closer connections with Universities, where I intended to do a master’s program. With that in mind, I started my investigation. In the 6 months I lived in Canada, I spent 2 months in Montreal, where I studied French at ILSC-Montréal for a month, with Seawall assistance. In this period, I could contact a few Universities and people in order to decide what my future action plan would be. At the same time, with the support from the teachers at the school, I got ready to take the TEFàQ (Test d’évaluation de français pour l’accès au Québec). I am happy to say that it`s been a few days since I received the results of the test confirming I have reached the necessary grade to apply for a permanent residence in Canada.

I’d like to say how important Seawall support was in this process. Moving to a foreign country alone, off the cuff makes your fearful and anxious because we know that only few agencies are able and competent enough to give the exchange student the necessary support. For that reason, I want to stress how important Seawall support was during this phase. I want to specially thank Vanessa and Ilie, who were always in touch with me while I was in Canada. I am also very thankful to the teachers and employees at ILSC – Montréal who also contributed to making my dream come true.

Finally, I want to say that with initiative, commitment and the help from efficient professionals we are able to advance little by little towards making our dreams come true. I don`t know what your life project is, but my advice is that you should focus on your dreams, prioritizing measures that will help you make them come true and, if you need to change your plans a little in the middle of the way, it is ok to do so.
Best wishes.”

“My name is Andressa and I am 23. In 2016, I traveled to Vancouver – Canada with Seawal`s support. While I was preparing for the trip, I was a little anxious about what would be like to live in a foreign culture and speak a foreign language totally different from mine. Despite my anxiety and facing all my fears, I decided to move forward and went to Vancouver, which became one of my passions. In Vancouver, in the summer, where everything is clean, warm and lively, the atmosphere, colors and people become very special because it is the season of the year everyone waits for. My homestay was with a Filipino family, which is quite common. In the beginning, I felt a little uneasy with the strict rules, but with time, people made me feel a member of the family and at home. As days went by, the season changed and with it came the rain and real “Raincouver”, as they name the city over this period. But, I also had a chance to see the beauty in Alberta, the lakes and some of the closest cities to Vancouver.

I felt in love with Canada. I admit that before travelling I had not researched a lot about the country because I like to be surprised. Vancouver surprised me by showing that we can be more civilized; we can also recognize the disadvantages and advantages of our own culture and understand that the language barrier means very little when the country can offer you so much.”

“Confidence, knowledge and guidance. These are the features of the company that helped me in my decision to move. I am 48 and I love to wave the flag that there`s no age limit for exchange programs or changes in life. There is the right moment and competent professionals that work for that to happen.”

“I am 20 and I have always wanted to go to college in a foreign country; I chose Canada. Through Seawall I found Langara College and decided to take its Health Science course. A little later, I understood that course was not what I really wanted and, again with Seawall help I started studying Graphic Design at The Art Institute of Vancouver, to which I could transfer two subjects of the course I had started at a Brazilian College.

Thank you, Seawall,”

“I arrived in Vancouver 5 months ago with my family with just a tourist visa. Thanks to Seawall and its partnership with a law firm specialized in immigration, we analized the situation and I was advised to apply for a work visa.

I can say for sure that I wouldn`t have been able to change my status without the expertise and experience of both Seawall and the law firm.
Thank you, Seawall.”

“At 16, I went on a 6-month Exchange program offered by Seawall in Canada, where I stayed for 1 month in Vancouver, studying only English and 5 months in Chilliwack, attending high-school (GW Graham). It was one of the most fantastic experiences in my life, a moment when I could visit diverse places, meet people from all over the world, make dreams come true, improve my English and most importantly to get to know myself and become more independent.
I love this country very much; it became my second home, specially Chilliwack, where a stayed most part of the exchange program. I was able to build such a loving relationship with my host family that it seemed that I was really a part of that family. They became very important to me and I miss them very much. Besides, they have also helped me to make one dream come true: see snow.
The most memorable experience in the program was when I had a chance to go to a Taylor Swift show and see snow at the same time. It was such an incredible moment for me that I cried. I learned how to ski and how to make a snow man; it was truly an amazing sensation. I have a few plans for the future, which includes university graduation and maybe a new exchange program, but this time a have different objectives, such as to specialize in my future professional area, learn how phonoaudiologist work outside Brazil and bring back advancements regarding my future profession area.
If you dream about studying in Canada, go for it! You won’t regret it! Don’t miss this opportunity. Canada is magical. It is a unique experience. Leaving your comfort zone is as bad as one may think (I know it freaks you out!). You`ll get independent because you`ll have to learn how to deal with your own money, controlling expenses and learning how to move about the city (public transportation in the country is very safe) and how to communicate in a foreign language. Don`t panic! Practice leads to perfection! As you`re pushed to communicate with other people, your vocabular will improve a lot. Don`t waste this opportunity! Seawall has wonderful programs and they are really considerate and careful. They never let you down. Whenever I needed, I always had their support. If I were to write everything about my experience in Canada, the text would become too long. What I can say is that Canada is my second home and I consider myself half Canadian and half Brazilian, thanks to this spectacular adventure. Thank you, Seawall, for everything.”

“I have no words to describe my experience in Canada as an international student! I have learned so many things that I will carry with me for my whole life; I learned how big the world is, I learned that everyone is different and that we can live in harmony when we respect our differences! During this international experience, I lived a new life! I met new people, practised sports that I had never even heard of, lived a totally different and more exciting reality that I was used to! I already miss Chilliwack, my friends, my school, the security and freedom I had, and all the special moments I’ve collected! I hope to return soon, because now a piece of my heart belongs to this wonderful country called Canada!”

“To be in Toronto was certainly the most valuable experience of my life for many reasons. On this trip I was able to learn to be more independent than I was, to deal with the difficulties of the world, to interact with new cultures and languages, to have a lot of fun during the field trips at Quest and, most important of all, to be immersed in the English language, which greatly improved my level of fluency. I’ve been back in Brazil for just a few days, and I already miss Toronto. I owe a huge thank you to many people, especially for Wanessa Gonzalez from SeawallEdu, who gave me all the support I needed until the moment I left, and also helped me a lot in Toronto. Many thanks to the agency – SeawallEdu, for helping me live the most incredible experience of my life. I wish to have many other great experiences, and I hope I can count on SeawallEdu again. Thank you!”

“Those were the 3 best weeks of my life! Studying English at Quest and then enjoying the sightseeing in Toronto and my 4 day trip to New York…. everything was all simply amazing! I improved my English a lot, both my speech and my hearing. And I’ve also discovered new places, from castles to malls. It was all very incredible, and I believe one of the best parts the number of friends I made. People from all over the world that I had the opportunity to meet and it was really cool! Each tour was also amazing! The 3D Toronto sign, the CN Tower and also every neighbourhood in Toronto that I had the opportunity to visit! All of this was perfect! It was the best trip of my life! Thanks for the opportunity!!”
